May 5, 2025 (Vedic Calendar Date)
On this sacred day, we honor the Jayanti (the Divine appearance day on Earth) of Maa Baglamukhi, the eighth of the Dasha Mahavidyas—the ten supreme forms of the Divine Mother, born of ParaShakti, the ultimate cosmic feminine force.
Who is Maa Baglamukhi?
Maa Baglamukhi, also known as Pitambara Devi, is the fierce and radiant Rudra form of Goddess Parvati. She is called Pitambara (the one clad in yellow) because of her association with the color yellow, the hue of divine frequency and power.
She manifested on Earth in response to the intense penance of Lord Vishnu, who prayed for a divine force to descend and save beings from the rising tide of adharma (unrighteousness). Pleased with his tapasya, ParaShakti manifested ten forms—the Mahavidyas—and among them emerged Maa Baglamukhi as the 8th, wielding immense spiritual power to silence evil and protect the righteous.
The Power of Silence & Stambhana Shakti
Maa Baglamukhi is the Goddess of Stambhana Shakti—the power to paralyze negativity. She brings stillness to chaos, silence to false speech, and peace where there is conflict. Those facing obstacles, jealousy, legal issues, or any kind of spiritual or psychic attacks turn to her for swift and potent protection.
Her presence dissolves fear, removes deep-seated karmic blockages, and grants clarity of speech and intent when invoked with full bhakti (devotion) and surrender.
